Sol LeWitt In Memoriam-Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago
Until August 5, 2007
Hartford, Connecticut son and artist Sol LeWitt is seen as the father of minimal and conceptual art. He passed away this year on April 8 at the age of 78 and within days, Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art was ready with a new exhibit and limited retrospective of LeWitt’s work. His color use and composition of line was a gift to the art world of the later 20th Century. This is an excellent chance to see the work of a man at a place with whom he was tightly affiliated for much of his later life.
