Color Me Corbusier
In today's world of great collaborations, it comes as no surprise to discover that great modernist artist and architect Le Corbusier is responsible for inspiring a boutique line of paint.
Swiss paint manufacture kt.COLOR has produced what they deem to be "artists' color for walls", showcasing a collection of 63 colors.
The color palette was taken from Corbusier's work with swiss wallpaper company Salubra in the 1930s and 1950s. Featured colors include an array of blues--which the architect felt should never be used on floors, due to their fluid nature; earthy browns--to suggest structural strength; and glowing yellows--to be used in brightly lit rooms to emphasize the sun.
kt.Color uses pure artists pigments--including burnt ochre, ground gemstones and charred bone--in combination with environmentally safe binders to create a line with color intensity and texture second to none.
