Guggenheim will get to keep new color
As we reported in October, one of the most talked about decorating dilemmas on the Upper East Side was resolved Tuesday when the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission approved an off-white paint color for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. The commission, in a 7-2 vote, endorsed the color choice of the museum over a buff yellow shade that the iconic structure was painted when it first opened in 1959.
