Home Candy Inc. in New York s the place. “It’s all about color — I love really clean white surfaces and accent pieces that really pop,” said Nancy Booke, an interior designer and Home Candy’s co-owner, at the store’s opening on Saturday, December 1st. Ms. Booke, second from left, was surrounded by a gregarious gang that included, from left, her design partner, Brenda Derfner; her mother, Gail Reiss, who does the jewelry and knitted goods; and her business partner, Elayne Kling.
